Burning Safari (1'45)

Burning Safari (Gobelins graduation film, 1'45)

Small alien robots land on earth for a photo safari. Their encounter with a wild ape man will prove communication between the two species to be... difficult.

1'45 Short Film made with 6 of my collegues during our scholarship at Gobelins, l'Ecole de l'Image, as a curtain raiser for the 2006 edition of the International Animation Film Festival of Annecy.

It has since been acclaimed in several festivals worldwide, receiving among others the Jury Special Prize at Imagina 2007 in Monte-Carlo, and being selected for the prestigious Electronic Theatre at Siggraph 2007 in San Diego

Making-Of (4'08)

My making-of Burning Safari.

My main role has been as a storyboarder, and in charge of the coherence and montage of the film. I also took part in 2D and 3D designs and layouts, 3D background modeling (the canyon, desert rocks and plants..), 3D rigging (the spaceship), and of course animation. I also composited most of the film in AfterEffects and worked closely with our sound engineer till the end of the project.

Burning Animations (0'33)

A summary of the animations I did on Burning Safari.

Cycles

2 Quadrupedes walk cycles I did when finishing Gobelins.

Demo Reel 2006 (3'54)

This is my 2006 show-reel, containing traditional, Flash, After Effects and 3D animations I did during school or internships. It is still a bit long and many things are not really up to date. I am currently re-working on it. An other version and new animations should show up on this page very soon ;)

Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix (2'03)

Some of the cutscenes animations I did on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Videogame, at Electronic Arts UK Studio. (© Vincent Aupetit, Electronic Arts 2007)

The job included camera layout and animation, and character animation. We had to deal with technical constraints and short delays proper to the game industry. Part of the experience has also be to manage and correct scenes coming back from outsourcing in India.
